The purpose of  Redwood Estates is to capture the essence of family and home. The roots of a Redwood tree are extensive and grounded to the earth. Most everyone’s values and ways of life come from the root of their home; family. Creating a space that can be adaptive and morphed to meet the needs of all users by allowing them to have freedom within but also have a sense of togetherness.

The color scheme within each home evolved from inspiration of a Redwood tree, the colors create a calming atmosphere that encourages stability, growth, and healing. There are elements that have a blank canvas so the occupants have the freedom to personalize their home.

The main elements within the Redwood Estates are sustainability, inclusiveness, and affordability. Sustainability is shown through the use of a prefabricated home, finishes, and overall layout. Inclusiveness is portrayed in the overall layout of the home. Many spaces are multi-functional for example; the living room and dining room are joined into one space. The limited use of materials is a key element. All bathroom vanities will be floating and cabinetry is used sensibly. These design features allow for affordability. All elements come together to create a brand for the Redwood Estates that captures freedom for all.
