Throughout the summer I completed my internship at JW Kitchens, a kitchen & bath showroom located in Fargo, North Dakota. Working at JW Kitchens was a great learning experience. I gained knowledge about many types of materials, cabinetry lines, and building client relationships. I aided Audrey, the owner and designer, with kitchen floor plans, site visits, and pricing of materials. I worked directly with clients throughout the summer to help them pick out their finishes and layout of spaces.

I learned, in detail, Wood Mode's cabinetry line. There are hundreds of options for door styles, wood species, cabinet type, construction type and special additions such as mechanically operated doors and organization within. I believe this experience in kitchen design will benefit me greatly in residential design.
